URGENT – Just days to stop UK's biggest intensive pig farm

Dear Animal Aid supporter

We’ve just heard that plans have been submitted for a giant factory farm that will incarcerate more than 30,000 pigs at a time, to be built in County Antrim, Northern Ireland. If permission is granted, this will be the largest intensive pig farm in the UK!

The plans have yet to be approved, but we must act quickly. The window for submitting objections to the proposed mega-farm closes on Friday 5 June, so we have just days to show the local authority the level of opposition that exists to the plans.

Please help by submitting an objection through our online form and please urge your friends and family to do the same.

Animal Aid is opposed to all forms of animal farming, but this proposal is especially appalling and would lead to animal suffering on a huge scale. If approved it could also set a dangerous precedent for the future intensification of farming in the UK.

Thank you for your support.
