Donate now to help build peace in Nigeria

Two communities living side by side for decades, but fractured along religious lines with tensions simmering.  Every outbreak of violence reinforces suspicion and anger, and deepens the divisions.

For some Christians in central  Nigeria, threat of attack has become a daily fear.  Since 2010, armed militants from the Fulani tribe – a mainly Muslim tribe - have been forcing non-Muslim communities off their land: violently.

And the violence is only getting worse: in the south of Kaduna, one of the worst hit states, over 10,000 people have been displaced and it’s estimated that more than 800 people have been killed in a recent upsurge of violence.

Your gift will help CSW-Nigeria as they work with the people affected by this growing crisis. As well as documenting evidence of the attacks, and providing practical help to victims of attacks, they’re working to rebuild bridges between that are increasingly becoming alienated from one another in order to ensure  that this violence doesn’t happen again.

CSW-Nigeria’s work includes an amazing Ramadan outreach that offers food to poor Muslim families to help them break their fast.  They also want to start a football tournament for young people from different faith backgrounds. Just £15 helps them buy a football kit, while £35 will allow two families to sit together and share a meal.

Please consider donating what you can. Your gift will make a huge difference.
