Global issues such as reducing climate change and eliminating nuclear weapons can seem overwhelming. However, there are steps you can take at home and in your community. Chesapeake PSR and other groups are hosting two important events in early October to give you tools to make a difference. Please save the dates and let us know if you can attend.

Your Home, Your Yard: Steps You Can Take to Lower Your Carbon Footprint, October 5, Germantown, Md.

Climate change affects all of us, as evidenced by the uptick in catastrophic storms such as Irma, Harvey and Sandy. Learn steps you can take in your home and yard to lower your carbon footprint and help heal the planet. Learn more about the speakers and event sponsors.

Speaker Training: The Humanitarian Case for Eliminating Nuclear Weapons, October 7, Baltimore, Md.

Are you concerned about escalating provocation and the growing risk of nuclear war? Join us in a speaker training, where you will learn the current nuclear issues and legislation, and learn concrete steps for speaking out to citizens about public health pathways to nuclear disarmament.
