Your compassion and generosity have made a real difference in our fight to end the dog meat trade, and for that I want to thank you.

Our team has returned from China, where they worked with local activists to pressure Yulin authorities to end this cruelty. They witnessed horrible suffering, but they also made tremendous headway. Due to international pressure, 21 dog meat restaurants closed this year and dog meat traders saw a loss in profit. Local authorities took measures to downplay the festival, even ordering restaurants to remove the word ‘dog’ from menus. It's thanks to your support we are seeing these big changes that are saving the lives of many dogs.

Together, we are making progress toward ending the Yulin dog meat festival, as the once highly publicized event is weakening every year. We are determined to keep the pressure on until this festival -- and the dog meat trade everywhere -- stops for good and no dog ever again has to endure such suffering.

Once again, thank you for caring and for putting your compassion into action.
